SUMMER FACE

It's summer. I've had a bunch of questions about my current routine for face, and so I'm breaking it down here. And here it is...this is my summer face. I'm pretty pale for me, but I keep it that way on purpose, because I'd like to keep my summer face for as long as I can have it. Because I'm no baby. And this mama wants to save face forever, or die trying. (Wish me luck as I'm currently wandering the streets of Laguna Beach today). I talked last month about protecting face with a hat and sunscreen etc, but this summer,  even more so,  I'm not ignoring daily products, in fact, I'm upping the ante. Because summer is just as harsh as winter on your skin if not more because of that hot sun, and because our kids want to be outside all day long, and that means extra attention to self care, aka, you and your face.

FOR BETTER OR WORSE

White picket fence. A husband. A dog. Some kids. Happiness. Growing up, this is mostly what I thought life was in domestic bliss. But it turns out it's not that vanilla. It's more murky. More complicated. More inconvenient. More beautiful. More vibrant. Kinda like a rainbow milkshake mixed with Oreos and cashews. It's nuts. It's also, love.

SURVIVAL TACTICS FOR FAMILY VACATION WITH LITTLES

We arrived home yesterday from the Griswold vacay in the smoky mountains with the in-laws. And if you follow on instagram you know it hasn’t been easy. In fact, this one was one for the books and literally I will have a photo book made so one day when I look back at the summer of seventeen, I can remember how hard it was, but also, "how worth it" it was, because we got to spend some quality time with Paw Paw and Nana. Also, millenials, enjoy the wanderlust but prepare for less wanderlust when you're adulting with husbands, littles and in-laws. This ain't no Saint Tropez.
